商品簡介
This book unites contributors in political science, sociology, public policy, and community development, as well as those in environmental management and fisheries science, to look at wicked problems in environmental and natural resource policy and present alternative methods for solving them. Wicked problems are defined here as problems that combine many changing elements, that are difficult to model, that cut across multiple policy domains and stakeholders, and have complex causes and consequences. Part 1 reports on dilemmas of specific wicked problems such as hydraulic fracturing, salmon recovery, the science and politics of forest management, and the role of citizens and scientists in health-care and environmental policy. Part 2 presents new problem-solving methods such as post-normal science, place-based social learning, and collaborative governance and science.
