“Births, Deaths, and Marriages” is the collection of the birth, death, and marriage notices that were found in the early Lamar County Alabama newspapers. The newspapers that were transcribed include "The Vernon Pioneer" (18 issues from years 1875 - 1879), "The Vernon Clipper" (1879 - 1880), "The Lamar News" (1886 - 1887), and "The Vernon Courier" (1886 - 1897). These have been transcribed and the listing of all births, deaths, and marriages have been extracted out and arranged in alphabetical order (there is also an index in the back of the book). These were transcribed the same way they were presented in the newspaper. Please note that the amount of information may vary.
