Roy S. Hanashiro, Ph.D. (1988) in History, University of Hawaii, is an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan-Flint. He has published several articles on the Japanese Imperial Mint includingThe Japanese Imperial Mint and the Issue of Jurisdiction over Foreign Employees (Journal of Asian History, 1996).
