David R. Williams is a former professional musician with a doctorate in music. He has lectured on music industry law (contracts and musicians’ intellectual property rights) at Yale University, Tanglewood Music Center, Manhattan School of Music, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, among other institutions. Most recently he taught a course in Music Law at the Crane Institute for Music Business and Entrepreneurship at SUNY Potsdam. Presently, he serves as Company Manager for TriCities Opera in Binghamton, New York.
