A native writer born of beginnings humble enough to make me resourceful, and with roots challenged enough to gird my pride in family-name and community. I love my hometown; San Diego, CA - the Southeast to be precise. Couldn't have picked a better place to be raised and mentored.
I've story-told for a long time.
The narratives featured in the House of Adamah series & canon have been with me for years; over 8 as of this July, 2017. I've built this plot and formed these characters - manifested on the page, and transliterated from the script of mine own mind - from a whelming well of inspirations. I continue to sharpen my craft with each passing day.
I'm a graduate of San Diego State University's Political Science and Religious Studies programs (#Aztecs4Life). My post-undergraduate academic career has been one of many tastes, none of which are worth mentioning.
I am the youngest son of two and I've a sister who stands, in age, between us. I come from two loving and encouraging parents, though only my father still lives. God rest her soul.
I relocated to Los Angeles, CA, which has served as a pivot in my world travels, 5 years ago this January. And moved to Oakland in December of 2016. From these places, I've journeyed far enough to swim in the Baleric Sea, and wide enough to have breakfast just beneath Sacre-Coeur. I've rolled down grassy knolls in Linlithgow, scuffed my shoes outside a tribute to a classic (addressed '221B Baker St.'), ridden the fresh snow on the mountainside of Blackcomb, walked in the rain down Karl Johan's gate, and penned a word with the sate of a pint, in the rear of The Eagle and Child. I've gone for a swim with turtles and fish of the sea and the corals in the bluest waters of the Philippine Islands.
I've lived. And I journey still.
