This coffee table book features color photos depicting nature, wildlife, small town life, and historical sites of the Thames River Basin, which stretches across eastern Connecticut and south-central Massachusetts. The area is famous for opportunities to view the night sky without interference from city lights. Photographer Steven G. Smith is a Pulitzer Prize-winning multimedia photojournalist who teaches visual journalism at the University of Connecticut.
