Barry Edelstein is one of the leading Shakespeare directors in the United States. Some of the actors with whom he has worked include Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman, John Turturro, Jeffrey Wright, David Strathairn, Kevin Kline, Julianna Margulies, and Bill Irwin. He was artistic director of New York City's Classic Stage Company and has directed at major theaters around the country. He has taught Shakespearean acting at the Julliard School, NYU, USC, and the Public Theater, and in master classes around the world.
