It concentrates on technologies that promote engagement and support collaborative and active learning across subjects, as well as how technologies can provide an accessible and inclusive learning environment for students with disabilities and can be combined to produce personalized learning solutions. Chapters provide case studies of types of technologies, special and mainstream contexts, student ages, and the range of special educational needs and disabilities, with discussion sections on aspects of pedagogy, theory, and research evidence, as well as links to UK Teachers’ Standards, National SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) Standards, and National Curriculum Programmes of Study.
