This autobiography begins with the first 4,654 days + 1 of my life. Those days were dominated by my mother's husband (her tormentor) beating and battering her as a matter of course. Finally, on day 4,655, he used me as unwitting bait to lure her to her death. What was also despicable was my reaction to her murder. My reaction? Like a brick. I loved my mother and feared her tormentor but something in me was fractured.
I would go on to perform well in school, avoid drugs and other commonly expected behaviors so many others who experienced the same thing would do. I acted, spoke and thought as if the first 4,655 days of my life never happened. I eventually won an academic scholarship to the most pretigious private school in Michigan. I was being groomed to attend an Ivy League school. I would reject such an opportunity because I was also slave to a cult.
I would later marry a woman who did not love me; we had four children together. Furthermore, I became even more immersed in the cult. After years of being married and a rising star in the cult, I divorced my wife and rejected the cult. I would move about as a fractured man but slowly began to rebuild myself into who I would become.
