Marigold, the baby elephant, was born on the African Savanna just before dawn. Her family of siblings, aunts, and cousins surrounded her and her mother to keep them safe. As she grew, Marigold learned the ways of the herd. Most of the time she remembered her lessons for keeping safe and out of danger. Most of the time.... but not always, Marigold tried to remember. When she forgets, there is always trouble and a price to pay. This is true about many of the things that happen in any family.
