Bolivia is twice the size of France and has both mountainous and plateau regions. Traversing the mountain areas by road is difficult, time-consuming and dangerous, and as long ago as the 1920s, it was realized that air travel was the way forward. However, operating in such mountainous terrain brought with it many difficulties. This book, illustrated with over 140 photographs, charts the development of Lloyd A廨eo Boliviano, Bolivia's flag carrier, from its inception in 1925 until it was forced to cease operations in 2010.
