Anne-France Dautheville wanted to be free and see the world, and she did. In 1973, at the age of 29, she was the first woman to go around the world on a motorcycle. She left Paris to tour Canada and Alaska, visit Japan, and traverse India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, and Eastern Europe to return to her home. She later toured Australia and South America.
