The book features an introductory overview of high performance electronic equipment, particularly high performance microwave electronic equipment such as antennas, radar, large radio telescopes, telecommunication and navigation equipment how it is different from traditional mechanical equipment. The foundations of electromechanical coupling are discussed; electromechanical coupling theory is composed of the multi-field coupling model (MFCM) and the influence mechanism (IM) of the nonlinear factors on performance of microwave equipment. MFCM & IM-based design methodology is described in detail, including coverage of electromechanical coupling based optimization design theory and methods, information and data transfer among electromagnetic fields, mechanical and structural deformation fields, and temperature fields. Some typical engineering applications are given to demonstrate the model and methods.
