Building Competence in the Informal Sector

In C矌e d'Ivoire, several professional training spaces take care of professional training by learning hairdressing, sewing and mechanics. In these training spaces, the skill acquisition process is defined. The training and competence of the learners in these social spaces built as a 'garage' are conditioned by the conformity of the learners to the social frameworks of the activity as defined and hoped for by the head of the garage. This study also analyzes the social determinants of competence among mechanics in Abobo Clouetcha.
