Emma Wallace created a great life for herself in New York. Otto Prescott has a lot on his plate. His ex-wife and their young daughter moved to Montana while he'd been deployed. After retiring from the military he followed them. Now he's starting a new job and trying to rebuild a relationship with his child. He has no time for romance, especially with the beautiful woman who'd gotten her rental car stuck in a ditch. But a one off date couldn't hurt, until he discovers he'd hooked up with the boss's long lost daughter.

Both have more important relationships to work on but neither can resist the magnetic pull they have to each other. And no matter how much Otto tries to help, Emma's a fish out of water on the ranch making it hard to fit in with her biological family. When a dream job lands in Emma's lap she's forced to choose between returning to New York and the life she built on her own or starting over Montana with the man she's fallen in love with.
