The Flow System Playbook, is designed to accompany the text, The Flow System: The Evolution of Agile and Lean Thinking in an Age of Complexity (Turner, Thurlow, Rivera., 2020). While the original book provided the research and theory that helped to derive The Flow System (TFS) and the Triple Helix of Flow, the playbook focuses on the methods, techniques, and tools introduced in TFS.

This playbook is a 'How-To Guide' for consultants, leaders, managers, and practitioners to learn and apply the methods presented in TFS.

The Flow System Playbook is an educational aid for employees, managers, leaders, and practitioners. It is designed to help anyone apply the methods provided in The Flow System covers a range of methods, techniques, and tools for complex environments, which will support any formal or informal training initiatives and self-study programs.

This playbook provides scaffolding for learning, consisting of three main phases:

• Learning the assembly of methods, techniques, and tools that make up The Flow System.
• Applying these assemblies of methods, that advances learning by guiding practitioners to experiment with each method.
• Identifying how to entangle the assembly of methods from each of the three helixes from the Triple Helix of Flow (complexity thinking, distributed leadership, and team science) to achieve a state of flow.
