For example, the United States is the worst such country in which to give birth. Sick and crisis care continue to be the predominant paradigm; this needs to shift to well care as 80% of chronic conditions can be prevented with healthy lifestyle behaviors. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, we also have a mental health epidemic with over 50% of clinicians suffering from burnout, which affects the quality and safety of care. Solutions, including employing strong leaders and innovators, are urgently needed"
