The second in a series of books about the Delaney family, Losing Home is the story of their fight to cling to their ancestral way of life. After burying her husband and two sons, a bounty is placed on the heads of Molly Delaney's remaining sons, and she is forced to evacuate her beloved homeland.
Arriving in the new world, the Delaneys find the deck is again stacked against them. America presents new hardships, and the Irish are once again exploited by those trying to become rich off the backs of the poor. The hurt they suffer is profound, but the values of these people brought with them-and others like them-made America a great nation.
