Course self-evaluation

The trend in vocational education today is towards integrating the preparation of citizens for the production process and for life in society, requiring schools to provide teaching based on a solid foundation of scientific knowledge combined with general and cultural training. This reality, which permeates vocational education institutions, strengthens the possibilities of building a new way of responding to social demands for employment and income generation, combating social exclusion and simultaneously promoting the development of science and new technologies. A dilemma then arises in the life of the manager of a public vocational education institution: How can you be sure that your courses are meeting society's demands? One way of answering this question is by subjecting your courses to continuous evaluation processes or, as this paper conceives it, self-evaluation.
