Mechanized Darkness

After creating the illusion of being a traitor or dead, David and his small team have the incredible task of saving not only the Outer Confederation, but the whole Human race from a far worse fate than death, servitude. Creating allies has always come easy for David, but will his charm land him in deep water this time as he is not the beloved General Tardif, but David Tardif the traitor. Has he found his match in the leader of this attempt to destroy the Confederation, or will his quick wit be enough to save him and those around him?

Henriette Savatier, Captain of the Marei ship that disappeared on their way to the Marei home world, has the difficult task of both keep her crew alive but also finding a way back home. But with no navigational charts of this dimension, all they can do is fly from one system to another.

They finally find a suitable planet, but it already has a small population on it, of Marei.

The first meeting is not a happy one, so they simply settle further out on the planet. But when the other settlement is attacked by an unknown force, Henriette does not hesitate to help. But the enemy is not a race of beings, but a race of robots the locals call the Mechanized Darkness.

Will Henriette and her crew be able to defeat this new threat, become friends with the local Marei, or even find a way back to their dimension so they can see their families again?
