Walking with God requires faithfulness; no one can walk with God and fail in destiny. I hope we are aware that all men are meant to fulfill a certain mandate in this world. If we submit to God, He will provide the strength we need to fulfill the mandate of our call.
Many fail in the path of destiny because they refuse to walk with God. Refusing to walk with God means not obeying the instructions of the Holy Spirit or His leading. Faithfulness is key to fulfilling our destiny. Paul said, "I have fought the good fight of faith; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness, which the righteous judge will give me on that day, not only to me but to all who have longed for His appearance." (2 Timothy 4:7-8) These are the words of a man who has accomplished his mission on earth. Talking of destiny, not all men are called to be preachers or pastors; no, some are called to be businessmen who are called to finance the work of God on earth, and many other things.
