當前，隨著國家“一帶一路、互聯互通”總體發展策略的制定和實施，隨著我國大批企業跨出國門、參與全球經濟活動，面對物流市場國際化的迅速發展與激烈競爭，對從事國際物流貨運代理人員的素質要求越來越高，社會物資流通和物流產業發展急需大量具有知識技能、懂操作、會應用的復合實用型貨運代理英語專門人才。

外語是涉外服務的工具，也是對外交流的重要手段。英語是國際經濟業務的通用語言和主要交際工具，國際物流貨運代理從業人員的英語應用水平直接影響著我國物流業的發展速度與服務質量。為了滿足日益增長的外向型物流市場需求，培養社會急需的國際物流貨運代理運作應用型外語人才，我們組織全國多所高等院校中長年從事貨運代理英語教學和實踐活動的專家教授共同精心編寫了本書，旨在提高大學生和物流企業從業者的專業英語應用水平，更好地服務於我國的物流產業。

貨運代理英語是大學物流管理專業的核心課程，也是國際物流貨運代理從業者必須掌握的關鍵技能。本書作為普通高等教育物流管理專業的特色教材，全書共12章，以學生應用能力培養為主線，堅持科學發展觀，嚴格按照“加強職業教育、突出實踐技能培養”的要求，根據國際物流貨運代理發展的新特點，按照貨運代理業務流程和操作規範，系統介紹詢價議價、接單攬貨、倉儲訂艙、包裝、裝貨、調撥轉運、卸貨、制單、報關報檢、結算、索賠與理賠等貨運代理英語基礎知識，並通過指導學生實訓，提高其應用能力。

本書融入了國際物流貨運代理英語最新的實踐教學理念，突出“以任務為導向，以學生為核心”的教育模式，注重從業就業能力實訓，因此既可作為普通高等院校本科物流管理、工商管理、國際貿易等專業的首選教材，同時兼顧高職高專、應用型大學的教學，也可用於物流企業員工在職崗位培訓，並為外貿、物流企業開拓國際業務提供有益的學習指導。
