We perceive the body we think we have. The organism self-organizes and adapts to the environment it happens to live in. By trial-error-trial, it learns to assign a positive or negative value to each action in every scenario, and it unconsciously weaves a tale that projects in the screen of our consciousness as a movie. We exist convinced that this movie directly reflects reality, both external and internal. However, what we receive through this screen doesn't always fit what is actually happening. A healthy body can appear sick in this plot. It is a fiction movie, but to the sufferer (the spectator), it reveals an internal reality that they can't see with their own eyes.
