Five years ago, the Merchant uprising against Jevo's regime was crushed. Two years later, inspired by the legacy of David Carver, a new generation tried to succeed where the Merchants failed. Students from D跣achd and Cruthachail joined forces in what became known as the Spark.

It ended in a massacre.

The rebellion has failed twice.

Some survivors still believe there's a chance to fight back.

Others have given up completely.

Now, only the youngest children of the Merchants remain.

Braelynn Carver: Overconfident, fiery, and determined to live up to her father's legacy. The pressure to be perfect drives her forward, even when panic creeps in.

Nate Cartis: Resentful, sharp-minded, and fiercely loyal. He wants the rebellion to stay buried. But no amount of loyalty silences the panic that comes with being hated.
