The emergence and implementation of fascist movements in a regional context is a significant field of research, if we want to understand better how societies can drift into authoritarianism. This outstanding collection of case studies focuses on the early fascist period, before movements such as National Socialism in Germany or Fascism in Italy established themselves on a national level.
