在臺灣眾多公路中，僅有台3線被冠上「浪漫」，之名，現在的台3 線，已經成為熱門的觀光旅遊熱點，這條貫穿臺灣內山地帶的景觀大道，沿線經過三峽、大溪老街，還有龍運、關西、竹東、北埔、大湖、卓蘭、東勢等經典的客家聚落，每到假日人潮絡繹不絕。
其實在浪漫背後，有著許多鮮為人知的故事等待發掘，這本畫的誕生，就是希望從公路的視角，讓更多人看見浪漫台3線不一樣的風景
