商品簡介

Dive into the day to day life of someone with severe depression. Get an idea of the daily battles that some people have to face. I started to write this book in order to help with my own mental health. Having suffered with depression for more than 20 years, having a young family and realising I was affecting everyone around me. I started to finally accept help. Real help.

As you will learn in this book - it is not just about getting or asking for help. I had to be ready for the help too. During a long drive I decided I would start to write down how I was feeling. The next day. I had a mental breakdown. Leaving me feeling like I was worthless and hopeless. I was told I was too serious for therapy, needing to be in a better place before hand as therapy often causes things to get worse before getting better. Already being at rock bottom. It was too much of a risk to be pushing further.
I continued to write and ended up writing a full book. In these pages you will be given a full insight as to the battles I have faced, comments I have had and even the times I have been head to head with the demons. Quite literally in a life and death situation.

Whether you suffer with mental health yourself or want to learn more about what someone you are close to may be going through. This book is for just that. I am hoping this book will help people on both sides of the stories, allowing the sufferers to realise they are not alone and what they experience may not be so isolated. While allowing the people who don't suffer the chance to fully comprehend what the day to day life - fighting the demons - is really like.

I have learnt that it can be incredibly difficult for; partners, friends, other family members, colleagues and other members of the public to fully comprehend how truly scary and exhausting it can be to not be in control. Not be able to control your emotions or thoughts. If it is something you have never had to deal with. How can you comprehend it.

Help me in spreading the awareness and help people be more in-tuned with others suffering mentally. If my book can help even one life, I'll feel like I have accomplished what, it turned out, I set out to do. Because this book had no plan. Other than getting out my feelings into words. The book was an afterthought.
