Gender stereotypes in adolescents

This book was born as part of the project Gender, Diversity and Culture of Peace and the consolidated Academic Body UV-CAEC-268 Quality of Life and Human Development in its Line of Generation and Application of Knowledge Quality of Life, Violence and Disasters; with the purpose of generating an applied research experience. Gender stereotypes are not just ideas: they are structures that profoundly affect the way in which adolescents perceive themselves, relate to each other and project themselves into the future. Through the pages of this book, we will explore, from an integral perspective, how these social constructions impact the self-concept, self-esteem and personality of young people, and propose an intervention program that promotes critical reflection and personal transformation.Based on applied research in a real educational context, this book combines theory, analysis and action, offering a valuable proposal for teachers, mental health professionals and those who work with adolescents. It is an invitation to accompany, understand and transform the paths taken by those who are building their identity.
