Take Me to the Sea (Mano Bebar Darya) is the debut collection of lyrics by Romina Houshmand, an Iranian poet, designer, and multidisciplinary artist whose artistic journey spans continents and creative forms. This book gathers selected pieces from years of writing verses born of longing, transformation, and the relentless rhythm of a restless soul navigating life across geographies and emotional landscapes.

Written in Persian, this collection encapsulates lyrics shaped by the raw edges of love, exile, self-inquiry, joy, sorrow, and deep personal change. Far from being a curated or strategized compilation, the songs within emerged organically, often sparked by characters, moments, or stories that seized the artist's attention and refused to let go. Romina Houshmand, born in 1994 and raised in Iran, studied architecture at the University of Tehran and earned her master's in design from the University of Gothenburg. Her artistic background includes not only poetry and songwriting but also performance, dance, and psychological study. Her work reflects the tension between vulnerability and strength, and a fierce loyalty to emotional authenticity. Take Me to the Sea marks both a closing chapter and a new beginning, an archive of growth, pain, and resilience rendered in lyric form.
