Encountering the supernatural is powerful and exciting. It is also very real. Yet in western society this is looked on skeptically. Everything is viewed through the filter of logic. To an unspiritual mind the supernatural is illogical and therefore rejected.

Sociologists studying western culture call it the "excluded middle". We exclude the supernatural out of our western mindsets. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist!

On the other hand the youth culture of today has no problem with the supernatural. This is evidenced by their embrace of the Harry Potter and the Twilight series of books and movies that dominate their focus and the media. Some of the most popular computer games have the supernatural as its base! The rise in the popularity of the New Age with people of all ages in our culture tells us that there is a genuine hunger for the supernatural.

Inherent in western culture is the desire to control and explain everything. This is the complete opposite mindset needed to encounter the supernatural.

The supernatural is very important for you and me. It is the only way that you will discover your true meaning and purpose in life. It will cause your spiritual intuition, your creativity and the power of your conscience to be awakened! Most importantly it will introduce you to the son of God who is the true source of spiritual power! So within this context the supernatural is very logical and does make sense. We just need to open ourselves up to it's amazing possibilities.
