Mom, Am I Fat? is a question many parents face. Isabel (@unamadremolona on Instagram) and Dani (@educa.en.positivo on Instagram) offer this illustrated story to help turn that question into an opportunity to instill love and respect for their bodies in our children.

One afternoon after school, Mariola came home a bit sad. Her mother wanted to know what was wrong, and after hesitating for a moment, Mariola asked, "Mom, do you think I'm fat?"

In a world that pressures children, teens, and adults with unrealistic or hard-to-reach standards, it's more important than ever to plant seeds of freedom, self-love, and respect for their body and for life.

Mariola's mother doesn't respond with a firm "yes" or "no."
