Kwamé Nkrumah and the need to break out of the economic paradigm

Nkrumah's politico-economic philosophy stood in opposition to the capitalist colonial order. The reappropriation of Africa' s raw materials by Africa, and the promotion of an economy for itself, required a radical break with the neo-colonial order based on the deterioration of terms of trade, the creation of currency zones - a kind of economic enclosure - such as the CFA currency zones, and the international monetary system based on the Bretton Woods institutions, the World Bank and the World Bank.such as the CFA currency zones and the international monetary system based on the Bretton Woods institutions, the World Bank, the Paris Club and the London Club, all of which are essentially infernal machines for the alienation of all economic sovereignty. Nkrumah deployed an original praxis, starting from a phenomenological analysis of the continent's economic alienation, to the need to set up an economy of autonomy for oneself, a sine qua non for the development of the philosophy and politics of Pan-Africanism. The break with monetary, scientific and technological alienation is today an existential necessity for the creation of a free, united, self-determined and powerfulAfrica .
