Picking up Nobody to become Somebody in front of Everybody without asking Anybody
Biblically, it is unequivocally proven that God favours some and not all of his human creation. Interestingly, God's act is favour, and not favouritism, and that is not sin as James states in chapter 2v5, "Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn't God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith? Aren't they the ones who will inherit the kingdom he promised to those who love him?" God's favour or grace is simply; the Lord God giving you capability to conduct something that is impossible for man to do, example given being that; you can experience eternal life or you have the ability to live for God, just because of his only undeserved favour or his grace. Unlike a state president's prerogative in choosing his cabinet to form a government, God's decision in choosing some for salvation or his kingdom mission is not because of any inherent goodness in you. The fact of the matter is that, it is just his prerogative, and it demonstrates his unfathomable grace.
Honestly speaking, there is no human being who justly deserves the favour of God, apart from all deserving his wrath instead. Note that, all humanity have sinned and fallen short of the righteous requirements of God, something evidenced by Apostle Paul from Romans 3v23. Psalm 53v3 buttress this, "They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is none who does good, No, not one." You may ask, is not God's favour a sin, as he seems to be selective? Is God not showing favouritism in his election of only some of humanity for salvation, while others seem condemned? The answer is no, God's 'favour' is not sin whereas 'favouritism' on the other hand is. Note that, favouritism is when you choose someone because of some perceived worth or merit. It can be further expressed as partiality or bias; giving preference to one person over others with equal claims. Favouritism is unusual with God's character, see Romans 2v11, Ephesians 6v9.
