Thea grew up like any other child- with a mother who loved her, stranded out in the wilderness of a jungle island, surrounded by animals who deeply understood human behavior. After her mother's tragic death, she finds herself in even closer company with the gorillas. That is, until she hears an alarming noise in the distance.

Three strangers appear on her shore and she yearns to learn more about their invasion. The researchers' trip is meant to gain intelligence about life on the island.
