Starflight to Armageddon

In celebration of the 60^th anniversary of the classic 1960s science-fiction TV series, Star Trek: The Original Series, STARFLIGHT TO ARMAGEDDON is, unabashedly, a faithful and reverent tribute, true to the original style and spirit of the series, creatively adapting fresh characters and scenarios from the original source material.

The U.S.S. Enterprize, a starship operating on draining dilithium crystals on its return flight to Starfleet Headquarters, is abruptly and inexplicably transported back through time to 1945-just several days before the atomic bombing of the City of Hiroshima, Japan on the 6^th of August.

That date is especially significant to Helmsman, Hiraku Satō, because of his storied Japanese ancestry. In response, Satō proposes to the starship's Commanding Officer, Captain James T. Dirk, the most extraordinary proposal: that the powerful capabilities of the Enterprize could be brought to bear to intervene to prevent the destruction of Hiroshima by atomic bombing.

This uncommon predicament presents the starship's crew with several compelling conundrums-the least of which is returning to their rightful time and space after attempting to accomplish the most hopeless and impossible of missions: changing the course of human history!

This remarkably unique adventure takes ship-and-crew to Arizona's Meteor Crater; inside of a remote Japanese Internment Camp; and even aboard the B-29 Superfortress bomber known as the Enola Gay! In a profoundly moving moment, Mister Svock, Chief Science Officer, mind-melds with the bomber pilot, Paul Warfield Tibbets, to betray his most private and intimate thoughts.

In a climactic conclusion, Helmsman Satō steals a ship shuttlecraft to embark on a potentially suicidal, kamikaze-style mission!

All of the most familiar characters-Dr. Leonard Hatfield, Chief Medical Officer; Montgomery Stewart, Chief Engineer; Nydia Umaru, Communications Officer; and Pasha Chekhovsky, Navigator-are all in striking attendance! And all are posed with the most provocative dilemmas.
