There is a storm on the horizon.

For centuries, the Blodheksa has been tasked with opening a portal through space and time, ushering in the return of the Old Ones to create a New Eden on Earth, devouring the lives of every human with burning skies and poisoned seas.

Burgeoning Blodheksa Gretchen Thorne has been burdened with this prophecy her entire life, passed down by her mother Barbara and her symbolic grandmother Arrah. But Gretchen just wants to be a normal middle school girl, making friends, talking to boys, and occasionally fantasizing about blood raining down on her as she dreams about the monsters that will one day walk the earth and burn it to the ground.

Before she can realize her full potential as the true Blodheksa, Gretchen must navigate the far more immediate horrors of everyday life: the absence of her father Trent, the search for a conduit to help her fulfill the prophecy, and the constant threat of those who would steal her power for their own hidden agendas.

Inspired by true events, her years-long journey will take her across the United States, where she will confront dangers both human and supernatural-from a potential school shooter to a cult obsessed with the Night Stalker Richard Ramirez, and a heavy metal musician determined to help her open the portals until she can become what she is destined to be-The Witch of the Dark Storm.
