Together, they steal a decommissioned scout ship and accidentally save an alien being whose technology rewrites the laws of physics. Their vessel transforms into the Double Deuce - a stealth phantom capable of folding space, freezing time, and erasing its own mass.
But vengeance finds its target when Longo returns home to The Drift and discovers his family murdered, their station vented by the Ignis Syndicate. Grief becomes purpose. With the alien's power and Sparks's genius, Longo launches a surgical war across the outer rim: freezing time to raid vault-ships, siphoning corporate credits, stealing hidden star-sector maps, and liberating enslaved miners. Every strike is precise. Every message is clear.
