The detectives of the elite Special Victims Squad form a citywide task force and dig deep in their arsenal to draw him out. Due to the fact that he poses as a plumber and knocks on the doors of his prey, the press calls him the Knock-Knock Rapist. The detectives in the task force refer to him as Citywide 6, the case number assigned.
This story is told in the words of the lead detective, who vows to find this monster and bring him to justice, a task that will seem impossible at times, as this suspect is cunning, street-smart, brazen, and at times, very lucky. He narrowly escapes capture on three separate occasions, taunting the detectives along the way.
