商品簡介

Two men. Two faiths. One hospital room-and only a little time left to speak honestly.

The Curtain is a minimalist novel about Matthew, a Christian, and Yusuf, a Muslim, who spend their final days separated by a thin hospital curtain. What begins as cautious conversation becomes a quiet exploration of belief, suffering, forgiveness, mortality, and the possibility of understanding without agreement.

Matthew believes Jesus is the Son of God. Yusuf honors Jesus as a prophet. Their convictions remain distinct, but neither man enters the conversation to win. Instead, they listen. They question. They share scripture, memories, regrets, and fears. As pain narrows their world to a single room, their differences become more intimate-and their common humanity more difficult to ignore.

This is not a story of argument or conversion. It is a story of companionship at the edge of life.

Through spare dialogue and carefully measured silence, the novel explores the meaning of prayer, judgment, mercy, surrender, reconciliation, courage, and hope. The curtain between the beds becomes more than fabric. It is a boundary between strangers, traditions, and assumptions-and gradually a passage toward friendship.

Matthew and Yusuf do not erase the theological differences between Christianity and Islam. Their conversation acknowledges them directly, especially in their understanding of Jesus, scripture, forgiveness, and the nature of God. Yet the novel asks whether disagreement must prevent compassion, and whether faith can become a bridge even when doctrine remains divided.

Sometimes understanding begins not when people find the same answer, but when they are willing to remain present with the same question.

Intentionally simple and reflective, The Curtain is written for readers interested in interfaith dialogue, spiritual fiction, end-of-life reflection, Christian-Muslim understanding, grief, forgiveness, and the search for peace.

It is a brief novel with a quiet purpose: to create space for listening.

As the curtain slowly loses its power to divide them, two men discover that friendship can grow without certainty, mercy can reach beyond language, and presence can become its own form of faith.

At the end of life, what matters may not be winning the argument-but finding the courage to hear another soul.
