• Learning Objectives: A set of specific Learning Objectives has been developed for the material in each chapter. These are a set of testable specific skills and knowledge that a student should be able to achieve after completing the material in the chapter. Representative questions designed to test whether the student has, in fact, achieved those skills and knowledge is on the Instructor Companion website.• Chapter Summary and Useful Equations: At the end of each chapter, we summarize the major contributions the material has made to meeting the Learning Objectives. Also, as indicated previously, we provide a list of equations that are most commonly used in problem solving.• End-of-Chapter Problems: Problems in each chapter are arranged by topic and grouped according to the chapter section headings. Within each topic they generally increase in complexity or difficulty. This makes it easy for the instructor to assign homework problems at the appropriate difficulty level for each section
