This report first outlines the basic situation of infectious disease prevention and control in the entire African region and describes the history and current situation of the African medical and health system. The report also analyses the characteristics and existing problems of the infectious disease control system in Africa. Then describes the 9 major infectious diseases existing in Africa and take five countries which are Algeria, Guinea, Congo (Kinshasa), Tanzania, and South Africa as examples to analyses the infectious disease control system in different African region.
