機器人流程自動化(Robotic Process Automation)，是一種基於軟件機器人來自動化重複性、規律性、可預測性任務的技術，通常涉及到數據輸入、處理和輸出，在現有系統和應用程序中的自動化實現。依託“2022年華為數字機器人(RPA+AI)人才培養項目”的成功立項，課程組考慮使用華為自主研發的機器人流程自動化(RPA)平臺——Huawei WeAutomate，將其確定為本課程教學實踐中的操作平臺。同時也考慮到軟件國產化在技術獨立、安全、經濟發展、創新、定制化、本土化、教育和人才培養等方面具有如下重要的意義：1.技術獨立與安全：軟件國產化可以減少對外技術依賴，使國家在信息技術領域更加獨立。2.經濟發展與創新：軟件國產化可以推動本土軟件產業的發展。通過自主研發和生產軟件產品，國家可以培育本土的軟件企業和人才，提高軟件產業的競爭力和創新能力。3.定制化與本土化：軟件國產化可以根據國內市場需求進行定制開發，提供更符合本土用戶需求的軟件產品。這些軟件產品可以適應不同行業和領域的特殊需求，提高生產效率和管理水平。4.教育與人才培養：軟件國產化可以為教育提供更多的技術支持和資源，促進教育的現代化和信息化。通過自主開發的教育軟件和在線學習平臺，可以實現個性化教育和遠程教學，提高教學效果和學生的學習動力。軟件國產化還可以培養本土的軟件人才，為國家的科技創新和人才培養提供支持。軟件國產化對於一個國家的信息化建設和發展具有戰略性的意義，能夠提升國家在軟件技術和產業上的競爭力和自主創新能力。本教材編寫小組也希望能在教育實踐領域做一點自己的貢獻。然而，目前市場並沒有針對華為RPA平臺——Huawei WeAutomate的機器人流程自動化教材，本教材的出版將填補該市場的空白，更能滿足現階段及以後教學實踐中最迫切的教材需求。
