Georgia and other suits against states, which are the subject of Volume Five. It covers the beginnings of federal admiralty and equity jurisprudence, habeas corpus, judicial review, foreign affairs, and the relationship between the national judiciary and state courts. For each case, a narrative history is followed by the relevant documents in chronological order, many recovered from damaged manuscripts or written in shorthand.
