In 1978, Yetta Goodman (education, U. of Arizona) coined the term "kidwatching" to describe how teachers observe and record children's literary development. In this guide for preschool, kindergarten, and primary teachers, Goodman and her former graduate student Owocki (education, Saginaw Valley State U.) present practical guidelines for kidwatching. The volume also features an extensive selection of reproducible forms. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
