This volume collects 32 short stories by ten contemporary Palestinian women holding Israeli citizenship, an identity that places them amidst multiple marginalities, as notes editor Assadi (English, The College of Sakhnin for Teacher Education, Israel). This position of multiple marginality provides the raison detre for the collection (the fourth in a series on Palestinian short fiction writers edited by Assadi), which provides space for the authors to "challenge norms, fight oppression, burst closed doors and show their true faces." Jamal Assadi is the Chair of the Department of English at The College of Sakhnin for Teacher Education, Sakhnin and a lecturer at An-Najah National University, Nablus. He received his PhD in English literature from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in England. In addition to numerous articles in professional journals, Dr. Assadi is the author of Acting, Rhetoric and Interpretation in Selected Novels by F.
