Gilda Hernandez Sanchez is adjunct researcher at the Department of Archaeology, Leiden University. Her previous work focused on the analysis of pictographic decorations on ancient and present-day ceramic vessels found in Mexico. She has published in journals including Journal de la Societe des Americanistes, Mexicon, and Latin American Antiquity.
