商品簡介
In the 1970s, sections of the French government, particularly the Ministry of Education under RenT Haby, set out to limit the teaching of philosophy in French schools. Philosopher Derrida (one of the intellectual fathers of deconstruction) became actively engaged in the debates over the teaching of philosophy in French secondary schools, founding the Groupe de Recherches sur l'Enseignement Philosophique. Here, in the first part of a work originally titled Right to Philosophy , he explores the foundational concepts that underpin the debate over the teaching of philosophy, including the "teaching body," the relationship between socioeconomics and the classroom, and the legacy of the French revolutionary tradition. Originally published as pp. 9-279 of Du droit a la philosophie by Editions GalilTe (1990). Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
