商品簡介
In 14 papers drawn from symposia between the Bible department of Tel Aviv U. and the Protestant theology faculty of the U. of the Ruhr, Bochum, Germany, with which Hoffman and Reventlow are respectively affiliated, contributors share insights on aspects of biblical creation accounts which underlie Jewish and Christian traditions. Themes discussed include how a poetic reading affects meaning, the process of creation as a prototype for Israel's historical redemption, creation in Paul's theology, and the issue of providence ("power that is active in the present") in the doctrine of creation.
