商品簡介
Revising his doctoral dissertation for the University of Hawaii, Tian (Chinese studies, U. of Hawaii-Manoa) argues that Marxian dialectics in China is not the same as the inherited Marxian dialects in the West. He investigates how and why Marxism has assumed the form it has in China. Among his findings are that Chinese intellectuals have access to a clear style of thought that is not necessarily uniquely Chinese, that traditional Chinese thought can overcome some of the difficulties of Western Marxism, and that Marxism is for many intellectuals a strand of Chinese philosophy rather than an import.
