Elizabeth Cooper is Assistant Professor at the School for International Studies, Simon Fraser University, Canada. She has been conducting research in Kenya for more than ten years, focusing on the lives of young people living in refugee camps, orphaned due to HIV/AIDS, and protesting the conditions of their education and citizenship.
David Pratten is Associate Professor at the African Studies Centre and Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Oxford University, UK. He is author of The Man-Leopard Murders: History and Society in Nigeria (2007) and co-edits AFRICA: The Journal of the International African Institute. His research focuses on youth, vigilantism and masking.
